Smart groups |
Smart groups differ from normal groups of users in that they are created dynamically. To create a smart group requires the definition of certain conditions to be met by users to be added to this group.
Creating a smart group To add a smart group, right-click the Groups button, and then select New / Smart group from the context menu.
Creating a smart group filter The next step is to create a filter. To do this, select Filters for smart groups on Tools tab or click Add near filter field while creating Smart Group
With the above filter in place, users with the “super administrator” role whose names begin with “A” will be added to the smart group. Refresh time The last step is to define the interval for checking the conditions defined in filters. The default setting is 5 minutes.
