You can create your own headers tables, objects and other elements in the order of your choice. You can easily complete the elements of the report with data get from nVision. The added power of reports? The generated documents are clear, readable and ready for presentation.</li><li>Inventory reinforced with asset relationship creation. The Inventory module gained the power from relations - between assets, an asset and user, user group or license. Freely create and describe relations both one- and two-way. What power will this function give you? You will connect assets to both the people who use it and those who manage it and are responsible for servicing it. You will create a computer set - linking the device to its individual components. You'll link primary assets to supporting assets, and in the event of a critical server failure, you'll be able to determine which key information is associated with it - a feature that supports the risk and incident analysis required by NIS2.</li><li>News in HelpDesk module. In the remote connection, we have introduced the image of all screens (and their spatial layout!) already at the time of monitor selection. Moreover, the chat in HelpDesk achieved new level with the power to seamlessly embed images and attachments directly into messages.</li><li>Functions which can help help to meet the requirements of the whistleblowers directive. What functions specifically? Complaints from whistleblowers, ability to delete closed tickets, additional field type to display long text in a ticket.</li><li>Avatars - in the newest nVision version the administrator gains the ability to add avatars for users and automatically retrieve them from ActiveDirectory. New powers in your IT - meet nVision 16!

<p>A new version of Axence nVision<sup>®</sup> will be released on December 3. This is the 16th version of the software valued by administrators around the world for managing networks and IT infrastructure. nVision 16 is a tool strengthened with the novelties expected by the market, which will further simplify and improve the work of every IT expert.</p><p>Starting with nVision 16, the Freemium license (Network module monitoring network + other modules up to 10 workstations) will be replaced by a 30-day trial, which will allow you to experience the full capabilities of our software. The trial will give you the opportunity to install as many as 50 agents and test all nVision functions without restrictions.</p><p>It is worth taking the opportunity to test the new version of nVision, because the software gains real superpowers in this version, which will be very useful in everyday work.       <p><em data-renderer-mark="true">Nearly 160 participants and 5 hours of hands-on knowledge - that’s the outcome of our brand-new event that we held for Bulgarian private and public sectors. On top of that, we are happy to find out that in our after-event survey, 96% of you said that you were very satisfied with the quality of the presentations. For those of you who couldn’t make it this time, we have prepared a short recap of our event.</em></p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="470">CyberSec Day is an event for IT management and cybersecurity which was held by Axence in October as a part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month celebrations. Our goal was to share the best practices on IT security, compliance, and business continuity, tap into the expertise of IT management leaders and learn the latest tactics and methods of protection to secure the IT environment. We wanted to assist our audience in discovering solutions and services that support the successful and secure management of IT networks and stay tuned with the current trends.&nbsp;</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1029">We grouped talks by theme modules so that each of them covered different aspects of IT management and cybersecurity. <p data-renderer-start-pos="1029">The event started with the&nbsp;<strong data-renderer-mark="true">Opening Speech</strong>&nbsp;delivered by Miglen Evlogiev - the founder of the Bulgarian Cybersecurity Foundation. According to the expert, most data breaches are the result of phishing. One of the innovations in phishing in the last two or three years is a browser-in-the-browser attack in which JavaScript is used to pop up a window that looks exactly like the login screen with a username and password on a legitimate popular website. He also pointed out that phishing campaign simulations are the best way to train employees.</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="1029">The Opening Speech was followed by the&nbsp;<strong data-renderer-mark="true">Discussion Panel</strong>, moderated by Svetlin Iliev from Bulgarian Cybersecurity Association. The experts discussed the current state of IT security, products, legislation, certification schemes, etc. Pavel Georgiev who is the Founder of Cyber Security Talks Bulgaria - an initiative that is holding monthly cybersecurity-themed events and it is building a community of professionals, hacktivists, tech enthusiasts, government representatives, and many more, stated that the advantage of communities is that people belong to a community because they want to.</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="2795">The only female expert in the Discussion, Jenny Boneva shared a few very interesting takeaways. She claimed that establishing cybersecurity frameworks is the key part of establishing protection for organizations. She also pointed out that organizations are well-aware about the cybersecurity standards and best practices, however, customizing them is now the most challenging part. The reason for that is that information security is sometimes against the performance so it is important to balance those two functions.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="3315">The experience shared by Vladimir Dimitrov, representing the Bulgarian Cybercrime Unit, particularly caught the attention of the participants of the event. He mentioned some real-life cases from his everyday work and how he and his coworkers are dealing with cyber crimes.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="3589">Jasen Tanev, on the other hand, was supporting the view that building cyber awareness early on is key for ensuring cybersecurity. In this respect, universities play an important role.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="3774"><strong data-renderer-mark="true">IT Management and Security Module</strong>&nbsp;was inaugurated by Marcin Matuszewski, Senior IT Engineer at Axence. He strongly encouraged organizations to create their cybersecurity checklist. Since, it is yet difficult for businesses to completely anticipate and eliminate imminent cyber threats, having a solid cybersecurity checklist might come in handy to strengthen IT networks. This list should include such areas as critical infrastructure monitoring, asset inventory, user monitoring, etc.</p>

<li>ITAM is a continuous process, not something that you do once and for all. You need to constantly update and monitor your IT assets.</li>
<li>Any new device within your organization should be immediately added to your IT Asset Inventory and have monitoring software installed onto it so that you can actively monitor it, making sure everything runs smoothly.</li>
<li>Use automation in the ITAM processes whenever possible - schedule periodic scans, set up alerts, etc.</li>
<li>Continuously track all your IT assets. It will give you greater control over your network.</li>
<li>Prioritize your IT assets in order of importance - it will enable you to make quicker maintenance decisions and support business uptime.</li>
<li>Introduce a lifecycle management approach to get the most of your IT assets for their entire lifespan. It will help you identify how long an asset will work and when it should be disposed of.</li>

      <h2>What is 'Follina' Zero-Day Vulnerability and how can you protect against it?</h2>

      <p data-renderer-start-pos="81">Until now, in the overwhelming majority of cases, it was enough to have macros disabled to deal with infected Microsoft Office. However, it is not the case with Follina vulnerability that works completely different - you just need to open a text file to run a dangerous script.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="360">In short, the way it works is that opening a Word document downloads an external HTML file that contains the instruction that executes the msdt.exe command. This is how the MSDT* system tool is launched, with which you can execute any code in PowerShell.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="618">Unfortunately, as of today, no security patch from Microsoft is available. To protect yourself from Follina vulnerability, go to Axence nVision<sup>®</sup> in:</p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="768"><strong>Users -&gt; All Users -&gt; Atlas Info -&gt; Locks -&gt; Application Blocking → and then block the msdt.exe application.</strong></p>

<p data-renderer-start-pos="878">It is also advisable to create an automatic report displaying the employee's accounts on which msdt.exe was run and checking it on a regular basis. In nVision, such a report can be automatically generated and sent to the indicated e-mail address.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1126">It is also worth considering permanently disabling PowerShell from being run by employees. Our experience shows that the vast majority of organizations do not have such a blockade, and thus, make themselves more vulnerable to potential attacks.</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1373">Here’s the way you can do that:</p>
<p data-renderer-start-pos="1406"><strong>Users -&gt; All Users -&gt; About Atlas -&gt; Locks -&gt; Application Blocking → and then typing powershell.exe.</strong></p>
