Mobile application

The system administrator’s login data are required to authorize the mobile application. The relevant account should be created in the Users window by selecting the Add option or use an account that was previously synchronized with Active Directory.

On the login screen, enter the address of the computer on which the nVision console works. When working outside the corporate Wi-Fi network, it may be necessary to properly redirect the port on the access router. By selecting the Remember me option, the entered password will be remembered and the next time the application is started, the data in the login form will be automatically filled.

To log in to the application, enter the correct data for the account existing in nVision in the Login and Password fields, and then click the Log In button.. Please note that only users with the Administrator or Super Administrator role in the nVision console have access to the mobile application. A regular user cannot log in to the Inventory Assistant application.

Caution: Inventory Assistant application uses the same port as the nVision console, i.e. TCP 4336.

1.Add an asset – option to create a new asset. First, enter the type of fixed asset, and then the rest of the data in the asset edit window. The Add asset button confirms the changes made. The resource added in this way will be included in nVision.

2.Scan – scanning the barcode. If there is an asset with an assigned code in the database, it will be displayed. Otherwise, the application suggests creating a new asset with the entered code as Inventory number.

3.Search asset – searching assets by name, type and (optionally) department. The search starts after entering 1 character into the search field. If at least one matching resource is found, a selection list will be displayed. Selecting a record from the list opens the resource in edit mode. Pressing the Back button will take you back to the list of found results. In addition, the search engine remembers recently searched resources, which greatly facilitates the work.

1. Edit an asset - Inventory Assistant allows you to edit information about a given resource. Information edited in this way is updated in the nVision console. To edit an asset, first find it using the search engine.

2. Add an activity - This option allows you to adding activities, i.e. updating information that does not relate to the resource, but relates to it directly. To display the tab for adding activities, click on the icon displayed in the tab of a specific resource.

When adding an activity, first of all, select the activity by clicking on the Activity name field and selecting the appropriate activity template from the pull-down list. The list of activities is a closed directory - new activity templates can be added in the nVision console: Asset settings> Activity templates> Add template). The remaining fields to be completed are:

•Cost

•Exeecution hours

•Execution mins

•Change status to (there is an information about current asset's status above it)

•Description

3. Print label - The nVision mobile application, apart from barcode scanning, also enables label printing. To print a label, the device on which the Inventory Assistant is installed should be connected to the printer. To display the label printing tab, click the icon displayed in the tab of a specific resource.

From the label printing tab, you can select a label template, share the label and select the printer you want to use. After selecting the appropriate label template, its visualization and asset parameters will be displayed below, along with information about which of them will be printed. After completing the configuration, in order to print the label, click the PRINT button.
