End-user remote access |
nVision 11.6 introduced the possibility of configuring remote user access to his computer. To configure this mechanism, follow the procedure described in this chapter. 1.On the edge router of the corporate network (with a public IP address), you should configure the redirection of incoming connections on the TCP port 4436 to the nVision server address in the local network (port-forwarding). 2.In the nVision console, enable "Additional remote access to own computer" in the "Permissions \ HelpDesk" tab in the user information window: 3.Indicate the computer to which the user can connect in the "Permissions \ HelpDesk" tab. 4.If the user, on the company computer with the Agent, works under a local Windows account, set the nVision account password in the "General" tab in the user information window:
• The value of the "User" field is the login for the remote connection. • In the case of domain accounts, the user will establish a connection using his domain credentials, e.g. name@domain.local + domain password
User-side actions: When running the nVision installer, select "Install only Axence nVision remote user access" next to the installation components selection step: After starting, please provide your login details: •Address and Port: Public IP address of the corporate router that has been configured with port forwarding •Login: user account name in Axence nVision console •Password: user account password in Axence nVision console After remote access is established, you must enter your computer logon credentials. |
