We have updated the license contents with personal data protection. More

The new version 10.5 results mostly from the ideas and expectations related to the nVision software that have been submitted by the Clients. We have prepared solutions that are, first and foremost, to increase the security and enable more in-depth analyses at the level of a single user. The security is to be increased by the limitation of the rights to disable or de-install the agents by users with administrator authorizations. Better analyses of incidents will be possible thanks to the option of the precise identification of the place of user activity in terms of the device on which they work. This solution was requested by many state institutions. In addition, we have enhanced media management by removing non-existent and unnecessary devices from view. We have also increased the speed of blocking launched applications. We have added key reading for the latest versions of MS Office.

Removal of outdated media from the list

The removal of “old” or non-existent (often utilized) media (e.g. USB) from nVision will enable more transparent and ordered management of connected disks and other devices used for data storage. The statuses of individual devices will be clearer and more visible thanks to the modified alarm for “external” device and the completely new attribute of “authorized medium.”

Report on user settings

The most important change is the possibility to identify on which PC the user performed the activities shown in the Users module, which will considerably enhance the analysis of individual incidents. The new data sheets included in the reports will enable a precise view of what authorizations for monitoring and blocking a given employer has been granted in the Users and what rules are defined for them in DataGuard. This will help to list the scope of data concerning user activity, which is obligatory pursuant to the GDPR.

Granting authorizations to administrators

We have introduced the possibility to limit the disabling and de-installation of the Agent from the level of nVision management console for selected administrators. Thanks to this modification, the chief administrator can be certain that no one is able to purposefully disable monitoring on their devices. The selective authorizations to administrators for the use of File Manager will curb the potential misuse.
