Asset audit |
The audit of assets consists in comparing two snapshots, i.e. the archived states of assets. Any two snapshots or the selected snapshot and current state can be compared. To perform the audit of assets: 1.In the main nVision window, select the Assets tab. Then select All assets from the list on the left and navigate to the Audit tab visible above the table of assets. 2.The prerequisite for a snapshot is that the number of events waiting for user acceptance is zero. Otherwise, you will be asked to accept all the events before it is possible to name the snapshot. 3.Select the archive (snapshot) to be compared and open its Properties. 4.During the audit, the individual types of assets are compared, provided that they were saved in both compared snapshots. 5.By double-clicking the chosen snapshot, , select the archives for comparison in the Compare audit archive window and use the Show (state) and Audit status options (described below). Audit state and status The Show (state) and Audit status options limit the number of displayed records and enable quick access to the most important information. The dependencies between states and statuses are presented in the table below:
The Audited/Unaudited status is closely related to whether a mobile application was used between the two snapshots which are compared in the audit. Important: if Mobile application is used, all devices (barcodes) should be scanned. Those that have not been scanned will be considered as unaudited and should be treated as the missing ones. The use of mobile application consists in searching for an asset by scanning the barcode or by means of other parameters (e.g. entering a part of the name) and saving.
