The new version of Axence nVision® was released on December 3. We know that there is no development without change, which is why we have introduced several further improvements and want to introduce you the 16th version of Axence nVision® software.What’s new in Axence nVision® 16 software?<ul><li>Ability to create customized reports for your organization. nVision 16 is equipped with a designer that will allow you to use predefined reports or to connect to the database and create any report from the HelpDesk and SmartTime modules, perfectly tailored to the individual needs of your organization. You can create your own headers tables, objects and other elements in the order of your choice. You can easily complete the elements of the report with data get from nVision. The added power of reports? The generated documents are clear, readable and ready for presentation.</li><li>Inventory reinforced with asset relationship creation. The Inventory module gained the power from relations - between assets, an asset and user, user group or license. Freely create and describe relations both one- and two-way. What power will this function give you? You will connect assets to both the people who use it and those who manage it and are responsible for servicing it. You will create a computer set - linking the device to its individual components. In Axence nVision®14, you can easily create your own ticket approval flows, indicating the people who should decide on the execution of a specific ticket. The system itself will send notifications with a request for approval and notify the appropriate people in your organization.
Enable secure apps in a convenient, self-service&nbsp;software repository
From now on, instead of constantly authorizing the installation of the same application on dozens of computers, it is enough to add it to the list of trusted programs and each user will be able to install it themselves. As a set of authorized applications is created by the IT department, users have access to them directly from the nVision agent on their computers.
New notification channels about alarms
Among other novelties, it is also worth highlighting additional notification channels to which an alert from nVision can be sent. Now, apart from text messages, e-mails and desktop notifications, you can also receive notifications about alerts via MS Teams and Slack messengers. The commercial SMS API application is at your disposal, too!

 The owners of Android smartphones will be able to monitor inventory assets not only in the nVision console, but also in the mobile application. It will not only allow to add and edit assets, but also to search for them in the system by scanning the label. We encourage all customers with a valid Service Agreement to download and test the application.
A lot of changes also appeared in nVision itself. Staying on the subject of inventory - the document generator is worth mentioning. From now on, it is enough to create a template of the required protocol, and use it whenever needed.
In the previous version, we integrated nVision with Windows Defender. Thanks to that, it is possible to control the anti-virus from the console level. Now, it's time for Windows Firewall! In this way, we are taking the next step towards centralizing security in one tool.
The dark mode that we previously introduced in AdminCenter appealed to our users so much that we decided to introduce it in other areas as well. So we followed the blow and in the latest version we provide an additional (dark) view mode in the SmartTime and HelpDesk modules.

 In wake of current crisis, there has been obsereved a significant increase in cyber-attacks. One may wonder about their reasons, but from historical perspective, such cyber-activites usually escalate when geo-politcal tensions are high and this time it isn’t any different. As a result, some alerts and warnings to organizations have been issued in order to boost their cyber defence and prevent further attacks from emerging. Hopefully, with our short walk-through of cyber security essentials, you will mitigate potential risks and keep a closer eye on your network vulnerabilities.
Here are a few key points you should pay special attention to. In particular, make sure that:
<ol class="ak-ol" data-indent-level="1">
<li>
Monitored network devices are properly described and whether they are classified in terms of their importance for the organization and its business continuity.
</li>
<li>
In case of unavailability of critical and important equipment, notifications will be sent.
</li>
<li>
The critical load and important devices in the area of CPU, RAM, etc. are monitored.
</li>
<li>
If the performance parameters of the critical devices increase significantly, you will be notified of that.
</li>
<li>
User workstations are fully monitored.
</li>
<li>

Website blocking policy is applied, especially the one based on the authorized dangerous domain list.

Possibility of downloading files with specific extensions, e.g. bat, exe, ps1 or msi is blocked.

<li>
A password manager storing and encrypting all passwords is utilized.
</li>
<li>
When visiting websites a secure protocol is followed.
</li>
<li>
The use of removable devices is considerably limited and approved only if there is a valid business case for its use.

<li>
Popular cloud storage websites, eg. Google Drive, Dropbox, are blocked on company devices.
</li>
<li>
The use of company devices is GDPR compliant.
</li>
<li>
Remote desktop applications, eg. TeamViewer, AnyDesk, VNC, that allow for remote control of any computer in another location, are blocked.
</li>
<li>
Admin applications, eg. powershell.exe, wscript.exe, that are available on Windows stations are blocked.
</li>
<li>
The process of saving files on employees' workstations, especially to desktop, documents, and downloads folders, is audited on a regular basis.

 The new version of Axence nVision® 12.5 was designed to adapt software to changing working models. The number of companies and organizations that also operate in remote (or hybrid) mode after the pandemic is growing every day. It brings the need for even more scrupulous work time accounting and remote user support.&nbsp;
The private time is here to help – the new functionality in SmartTime module has been developed to give possibility to disable the analysis of user activity when the computer is used for private purposes. Importantly, this does not reduce the level of protection of the company's equipment in any way, as all the protection offered by nVision works as before.&nbsp;
Another important novelty is the ability to manage local user accounts in Windows. The function allows you remotely create / delete an account, change the password or edit permissions.&nbsp; &nbsp; Version 12.5 also offers greater flexibility in managing administrator logs. Now they can be viewed not only in the nVision console, but also exported to external repositories and analyzed using all the functionalities provided by Syslog class systems.
