Axence nVision 8.6 available now – what’s new?

The Axence nVision 8.6 installation file is now available for download. The new release introduces numerous features. What’s new? See the new changes for yourself.

Considerable improvements to the HelpDesk module

The new version of Axence nVision pcontinues to develop the features of HelpDesk. The new functions of the module include IMAP support for processing of e-mail tickets and filters that allow us to personalize our ticket list.

There is also a new option of adding followers to threads, which is important in situations when a ticket concerns more than one person or when the problem should be reported also to the superior.

The internal HelpDesk chat has new functions: group conversations, view of recent conversations, and file transfer between two users.

The new version also allows the user to change the password. Administrators may print out the ticket view, add attachments to the Knowledge Base, and group ticket categories with labels. The latter is associated with the appearance of two new automations to make ticket categorization easier.

Additional changes to Axence nVision

The new version of nVision introduces support for 64-bit SNMP/WMI counters. The Users module now has the option of monitoring user activity in applications designed in Microsoft design language (formerly MS Metro/Modern UI). The Inventory module now has a report segment on network shares and startup commands.

Furthermore, the Edit Fixed Asset Types module now has the option “Required” for specific fields and the DataGuard module can now generate alerts for all but selected devices.

You can see the full list of changes under the “Download” tab on our website. We recommend downloading the newest release and testing the new functions to all Axence nVision users.
